Don’t TRUST door to door people!

Every now and then I get a knock on my door, sometimes its my neighbor giving me my mail that ended up in their mailbox. Other times its someone trying to give me information about something they can’t really explain. Ever since energy and gas customers could opt to change their energy and gas supplier, there has been a spike in door to door representatives trying get you to change your supplier for a cheaper service. To me gas and electric is all the same, Baltimore Gas and Electric will still deliver my service to my apartment, but the third-party energy supplier will supply my gas and electric. For years I have had alternative energy suppliers because they were cheaper than using the gas and electric company supply and saved a lot of money by making the switch. Representatives from different energy suppliers would come to my neighborhood every now and then to try to convince people into switching their current energy and gas supplier by saying things like “We want to make...

Why is there a lack of mental health services in America??

For the past 4 years I have come to ask my self this question. Why is there a lack of mental health services in America? I have worked in the mental health field for almost 10 years. I have done many things to improve the quality of care at the health system where I work. One thing I notice from working here for so long is the amount of people who are very ill, some who are not safe enough to be in the community, some who are afraid of them selves, and some who wants to end their own life. Many of these feelings and behaviors come from a dark place in humanity. Things that have happened to us at a point of time in our lives may have contributed to the way we are today. For some these things are good, and for others they are not. Mental Health is a big part of humanity, things we put in our bodies can be effecting the way we behave, how we see ourselves and how we view reality. Environmental conditions can also effect the way we behave and how we think. People who live a struggled l...

SOUL Infinity Stone Uncovered! And you’ve probably already seen it!!!

Image
This blog is based on a new theory on the whereabouts of the Soul Stone in the MCU. There may be spoilers ahead. Now that Avengers Infinity War is a few days away I may have just accidentally uncovered a piece of information that everyone has been pondering for months over, that is the whereabouts of the 6th infinity stone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Soul Stone! My previous theory about the stone being hidden somewhere in Wakanda is no more. My new and possibly accurate theory comes from a simple questionnaire that determines what infinity stone you are on Fandango.com. After completing the questionnaire it was reveled that I am the Soul Stone. When this information was reveled to me they showed me the cradle or cocoon that was first seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 post credit scene. You remember the scene when Ayesha was observing the cocoon and she said “I think I shall call him Adam” This comes from a story line directly from the comics except in the MCU’s vers...

CBS All Access… Is it worth it?

Image
With all the subscription TV services out there people are starting to leave cable and opt for low cost TV viewing through streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. Many TV networks like the CW, CBS, ABC and FOX all offer the ability to watch their latest content for free, however they do not offer any extended viewing options for people who want to catch up from previous seasons unless the show is on Netflix or on Hulu. CBS has a All Access subscription service that allows viewers to watch all of CBS content in one place. This is great… if you like CBS content. The only show I have watched in CBS is Star Trek Discovery, and because this show is exclusively on CBS All Access I subscribed to watch this show. Star Trek Discovery is a big budget TV show, so it was worth the price to subscribe to the service during the season. I decided to subscribe for CBS All Access for a year at a reduced price of 39.99. It was offered to me via email, so I took the deal. Although this is “All Acc...

Lost in Space: A spoiler free review

Lost in Space is an American science fiction web television series based on the 1965 series of the same name, following the adventures of a family of pioneering space colonists whose spaceship veers off-course. It is written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless and consists of 10 episodes. The series is produced by Legendary Television, Synthesis Entertainment, Clickety-Clack Productions, and Applebox Entertainment, with Zack Estrin serving as showrunner. The series was released on April 13, 2018 as a Netflix original series. I knew about the 1960’s Lost in Space, and seen the movie in 1998. It was never a show I was interested in but I love a good space adventure. When Netflix 2018 Lost in Space premiered on Netflix I never thought I would end up watching the entire season in less than two days. Thats right, I watched ten 1 hour episodes in less than two days. For starters the show looks expensive, the production company really spent a lot of money for this series. The show has movi...

Facebook moving forward

Image
Mark Zuckerberg went before congress this week to testify and defend Facebook and to come up with plans for data privacy on Facebook moving forward. Mark Zuckerberg is an American computer programmer and Internet entrepreneur. He is a co-founder of Facebook, and is currently its chairman and chief executive officer. Since is has been discovered that some facebook data as far as personal information, text, and phone call data may have been monitored and stored for redistribution to third party companies. Facebook has third party applications and information fishing links that may have used this data to spam, exploit or extort users. Mark Zuckerberg during his testimony with congress was not aware of these allegations, and is taking immediate action within his company to irradiate and correct data breach problems. One of the issues I find with Facebook is the constant click bate, that links you to an ad infested page where you can link your facebook account to a site that wi...

I can probably guess who's NOT in Avengers 4?!??

Image
Please note that this is only speculation and not based on fact. So I did a little digging the other day, and this may or may not be accurate. However I was able to confirm that Captain Marvel will definitely be in Avengers 4, along with most of the team except for one person. I was looking at the cast roster and someone was missing. Our jolly green giant! Thats right The Hulk played by Mark Ruffalo was missing from the cast list as well as our friendly neighborhood Spider Man. Now I know this may be just a fluke since the movie doesn't officially come out until next year and there may be a lot of changes that can and probably will occur during that time, but still we already know most of the cast has already shot their scenes for the still untitled Avengers 4 movie, at least I know Chris Evens said in a interview that he was finished shooting his scenes for the 4th Avengers movie, of course he may have to go back for some reshoots but for the most part he is done with the c...

Reboot: The Guardian Code review "Is this about Bob?"

Image
So I just finished watching the new "Reboot" on Netflix, Reboot: The Guardian Code. Please note this review may contain some spoilers, you have been warned. ReBoot: The Guardian Code is a Canadian live-action/CGI-animated television series, produced by Mainframe Studios. It is a re-imagined series inspired by the original computer-animated TV series ReBoot and the first ten episodes have aired on Netflix. Its a show that seems to be made for a new generation while still paying homage to the original show. The original TV show ReBoot is a Canadian CGI-animated action-adventure television series that originally aired from 1994 to 2001. It was produced by Vancouver-based production company Mainframe Entertainment, Alliance Communications and BLT Productions. The animated series was created by Gavin Blair, Ian Pearson, Phil Mitchell, and John Grace, with the visuals designed by Brendan McCarthy after an initial attempt by Ian Gibson. The series follows the adventures o...

Why TV and Movies from comics and books are never like their written forms

Image
As a long time comic book fan for both DC, Marvel and others I and many other comic nerds have always wanted live action TV and movie versions of our beloved characters. Our wish has come true especially now with all the TV shows and movies existing and planned for the future. Sometimes fans get disappointed when the story is altered or completely changed for the screen versions. A lot of people nag and get very upset that the stories that they used to know and love are nothing like what they are presented with when they watch it. Same things with books to movies. We read the book and then years later go see the movie and aren't always completely satisfied with the outcome. We set our expectations too high or we set up in out heads that what we know the story to be will be exactly that when we see the movie. However this is not the case. Hate it or not writers, directors and show-runners that take jobs to create these adaptations of comics and books are given the tasks to ...
