The CW’s “Charmed” Give it a try!

Image
A few years back CBS and CW were in talks to bring back the beloved TV series Charmed. The first synopsis was written as a prequel to the original Charmed but was soon dismissed after so much backlash from fans. The backlash continues however because most fans wanted the show to continue with the original cast. We all loved the idea of Charmed. There was no other series like it. The chemistry, the mythology and the family, it was a show we grew to love. We are moving into a new generation now it may seem too soon for a reboot but CW and CBS own the title “Charmed” so they are well within their rights to bring the show back for a new generation. A lot of fans don’t understand the legal aspect of TV networks and their rights to some shows, some even saying “Why didn’t they just call it something else, this isn’t Charmed”   or “This show is trash, you can’t fool the fans with this” It’s been 12 years since the original aired their last episode on M...

This is America

There have been 22 school shootings in 2018, not to mention the countless other shootings across the country. We can sit here and have moments of silence or give a memorial service for all the people whose lives were lost due to the senseless acts of violence that targeting our schools. We can sit here and think that this will never happen at our school, or in our community. Nowhere is safe anymore, hospitals, libraries, the grocery store. At any time, at any given moment someone may want to take it upon themselves to murder innocent people. You can never really know why it happens, it just does. A lot of premeditation goes into a shooting rampage. However you do have to sit and wonder, why would someone do something like this? I wrote a blog months ago about mental illness. Mental illness is still the leading cause of suicide in America. Although we have more awareness of it, it is still a big problem, one that we have to figure out how to manage it bett...

Hulk/ Dr. Banner Issues in Infinity War

My apologies for all the Marvel/MCU stuff lately, but I have been captivated by the latest movies and fan theories for a while. Spoiler alert! ***If you haven’t seen Avengers Infinity War then please do not read any further as this blog will contain specific spoilers.*** Ok, here we go!   Dr. Banner has an interesting ark in the that started to unfold in Avengers Age of Ultron (2014). If you go back to the scene after Wanda gets into Dr. Banner’s head and the Hulk comes out in rage and destroys a city in Africa. Tony aka Iron Man made effort to subdue him with the Hulk Buster. Tony had mentioned to Hulk that “He is Bruce Banner!” this seems to upset Hulk even more. But why was that? Why did the mention of Bruce upset Hulk more? Moving on to later in the movie when Bruce rescues Natasha from Ultron’s layer, Bruce explains to Natasha that he’s not going to join the fight and they should leave together. Although Natasha likes this idea she really want...

Avengers 4 Plot (SPOILER ALERT)

CAUTION THIS FAN THEORIE MAY SPOIL SOME POINTS IN INFINITY WAR. There have been several different theories about the next Avengers movie since the cliffhanger at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. One of the theories is the time travel theory. Many believe that Scott Lang AKA Ant-Man will find that his daughter has turned to ash, possibly during a post-credit scene in Ant-Man and the Wasp. During the Ant-Man and the Wasp, they are supposed to be utilizing the quantum realm to find Janet (the original Wasp). In the quantum realm time and space does not exist thus allowing the users to time travel (in theory) to a different time. Some Avengers 4 set photos have emerged showing a present-day Tony Stark and Ant-Man with a Captin America in his Avengers (2012) uniform.                     It seems as though Tony and Scott at some point meet up and travel back in time to stop Loki before his assault...

Marvel’s continuity issues

Ever since the dawn of new Marvel Entertainment with TV shows and Movies that are “connected”, Marvel Entertainment has been spitting out new TV shows and movies, spread across various different platforms and networks, like ABC, Netflix, Hulu, and now Freeform with “Cloak and Dagger” coming out later this summer on Freeform. It started in phase one and touched on the events that occurred around the time  Thor came to earth, the events that occurred in New York affected future movies and TV shows. These shows included “Marvel’s Agent Carter” series, that took place at the birth of SHEILD and  “Marvels Agents of SHIELD” that takes place during the present day of the shows airing on ABC. For a time things were ok with these connections, The Agents went to go clean up the events that occurred in Thor Dark World during an episode in the show, there was a short film called “Funny thing happened on the way to Thor’s hammer” that focused...

Xfinity Instant TV Service

Xfinity is now making an attempt to get their TV customers back and compete with the likes of Direct TV, AT&T, YouTube, and Hulu, by offering a new service called Xfinity Instant TV. The service, like Sling TV, YouTube TV and Hulu live offer customers with Xfinity Home internet service the option to stream live channels to their portable devices, as well as watch live tv on their Roku device. Right now if you have an Android TV device you, unfortunately, will not be able to download the app, and the app does not google cast. If you have a Roku device you can download the app on that device if you want to watch Xfinity Instant TV on your TV. Xfinity Instant TV costs 18.99 and you can add other premium channels, for an additional cost. You will also be charged a broadcast TV fee because it wouldn’t be Xfinity/ Comcast without the unnecessary fee. Although you can get the broadcast TV for free with your digital antenna, if you want to be portable you have to...

Avengers: Infinity War Review Spoiler Free

Image
Ten years ago there was an idea…. Every Marvel Cinematic Universe movie that has ever come out since the first Iron Man movie in 2008 has been building up to a cataclysmic event that no one would ever believe. A story line right from the comics about the Infinity Stones, 6 cosmic entity that predate the universe, and holds an eternal amount of power. In the movies Thanos has been attempting to gather all 6 stones so he can wipeout half of the universe existence. After his home is destroyed he set out to dominate all beings in the universe, to do this he knew he would have to collect the Infinity Stones. If you watched all 18 movies you already know a lot about whats going on because they have been teasing the coming of Thanos since the first Avengers movie in 2012. The movie was insane, and it picks up quite quickly. Because this movie is basically the beginning of a climax of this chapter in the MCU and it was building up to this movie for the last 10 years, everything happens al...

Toys R’ Us Closing Sale

We all found out over a month ago that Toy’s R’ Us was going out of business and has commenced their sale ranging from 5 – 30 percent off of all merchandise. After visiting Toy’s R Us several times I have found that most of the items on sale are not worth running to the store to pick up these closeout items. I went to Toy’s R’ Us to purchase a Nurf gun. All the Nurf merchandise was only 10 percent off. I was like “Okay” its something, but none of the Nurf guns were worth there set price even with the 10 percent. I purchased my first Nurf gun from Wal-Mart for a reasonable price and I got a better deal. The Nurf Items at Toy’s R’ Us we over priced and the discount didn’t make it any more intriguing for me to purchase there, Walmart still has competitive pricing for their items, and when I checked Amazon for the same item it was considerably more affordable than what I was looking at in the store. Even before the closing sale commenced I never really shopped at Toy’s R’ Us for items I...
