During the world premiere event on Monday for Avengers Endgame, Variety spoke with Elizebeth Olsen about the upcoming Disney Plus show “Wanda Vision”. Olsen said she and Bettany are both very excited about working together again on the series, and that they are supposed to start shooting episodes sometime in the Fall. Olsen also stated that the show has great writers working on it and they are pulling from a few comics. The show is also going to have a 50’s vibe to it. Olsen had mentioned last year during a press tour for Avengers Infinity War that she wanted to do a “ House of M ” type of storyline, so we will see where this show will lead us. There are no other details about the series yet until Avengers Endgame has had some months behind its premiere, to avoid possible spoilers. Last night was the World Premiere for Avengers Endgame here are some of the celebs that hit the carpet last night. There were a lot of surprise faces that showed up to the premier, including Natalie Portman who played Jane Foster from the first two Thor films. There were others celebs from Marvel Televison shows like Cloak and Dagger, who were eager to see the film just as much as everyone else. It was definitely a fun night, and fun to watch. As I am rewatching one MCU movie a day in preparation for Avengers Endgame, I noticed things that I never noticed before. One of those things I noticed was the reasoning behind Doctor Strange getting into a car accident. The obvious reason was that he was driving fast, reckless and distracted. There were other cars on the road, and although it looked like he wasn’t paying attention it seems as though another vehicle clipped him and his vehicle flung off the road into a ditch. Now think back to Captain America Winter Soldier. Agent Sitwell was apprehended by Captain America, Black Widow and Falcon around the time SHIELD was being taken over by Hydra. Sitwell disclosed a number of people that were viewed as severe threats to Hydra. Steven Strange was one of those people. Although Stevens accident seemed just an accident it could have been an attempt to take his life or render him useless as a Doctor. It was announced yesterday that the X-Men Fox series “The Gifted” has been canceled there will be no third season. The news came as a shock considering the series season 2 ending was setting up something bigger on the horizon. The show itself wasn’t getting much headway on viewership, and it wasn’t compelling enough to draw audiences to the TV. However, die-hard Marvel fans still enjoyed the series. Personally, I watched the first season sporadically and the second season I didn’t catch up until the very end. The show had potential but it struggled with in-depth storylines and a big chunk of the episodes was boring, in my opinion. Part of the show’s cancellation could have been due to the Disney/ Fox merger. Fox owned the rights to the X-Men franchise but now that Disney owns Fox they probably made the executive decision to end the show so that Marvel Studios could work on reviving an X-Men show or movie that ties into the MCU. With the most anticipated movie of 2019 right around the corner, the internet is not your friend. Avengers Endgame is less than 10 days away, and some people have already seen the film in screenings. Unfortunately, this means someone in those screening theaters have been secretly recording scenes from the movie and posting them online. I have unfortunately seen some of the footage for authenticity purposes, and it’s real, its the actual film, although it looked incomplete, as some of the CGI was not complete. I will not post any of what I saw here. The Russo Bothers did say that they are still editing the film and polishing it up all the way until they have to send out the film to theaters. You shouldn’t do this but… If you go to YouTube and search “Avengers Endgame Leaks” you will see a bunch of videos posted on the film, and right there before you even play the video you see a spoiler. After the new streaming service was announced and we were given a price and a launch date, the stocks in Netflix dropped the next day. Disney has severed their relationship with Netflix causing Netflix to loose all of Disneys content over time. All remaining Disney content on Netflix will be phased out by the end of the year. Disney is giving us access to everything they own on one platform, for a modest fee. Disney Plus streaming service will be in our homes this holiday season. We will be able to watch all of our favorite classic tv shows and films made within the Mouse House. Disney Plus streaming service is set to roll out sometime in November according to new information from the Wall Street Journal. Software developers for the service were told to “dial back other projects to make sure the service can handle millions of subscribers when it launches. Some of our heroes are super strong, some are literally gods, some are trained assassins, or super smart. Some can use magic and some have enhanced superhuman abilities. But not Ant-Man. The most anticipated film of 2019 is less than 3 weeks away, and ticket sales broke a lot of records in the first 24 hours they went on sale last week. Avengers Endgame is the end cap film that the last 21 Marvel Studios films have been leading up to. It’s the final act after (2018’s) Avengers Infinity war. The film is clocking at 3 hours and 60 seconds. If you haven’t brought your tickets yet you may be out of luck. I have taken the liberty to check most of the major theaters in Baltimore City and Baltimore County where you can reserve seating online through Fandango.com for opening weekend. Casting has begun for Marvel Studios upcoming film The Eternals. The movie is supposed to begin filming in September, Wilson Cruz an openly gay actor known for his current role in Star Trek Discovery as Dr. Hugh Culber took to Twitter yesterday to put the news out there for director of The Eternals Chloe Zhao and Marvel Studios to give him a call. We’re already 3 weeks away from watching Avengers Endgame. With that will come new TV spots, some with remixed versions of the trailers we’ve already seen but with different music of dialogue. We should all know by now Marvel will make us think something is happening in a film when it isn’t. Trailers use footage from the film, and then some footage that is made up exclusively for the trailers. (We learned that with the Wakanda running scene in the trailer for Infinity War that actually never happened in the film) It’s safe to say we think we know what could be going on but we actually don’t. The Twilight Zone Season 1 Episode 1 (Released April 1st, 2019) Written by Alex Rubens Directed by Owen Harris The story surrounds a comedian named Samir (Kumail Nanjiani) who does his stand-ups at a comedy club. While his stand up acts are based on unfunny but intended to be jokes they fall short. Samir thinks if he changes how he delivers his jokes that he will get the laughs he is craving. CBS All Access shouldn’t have chosen this episode to show for free to get new customers. The episode doesn’t grab your attention. It drags in the beginning so I was immediately bored with the episode during the first 10 minutes. Though in order to give feedback I pressed on. I finally realized what the story was about.
