Love Simon Review




Love, Simon is a 2018 American romantic comedy-drama film directed by Greg Berlanti, written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, and based on the novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. The film stars Nick Robinson, Josh Duhamel, and Jennifer Garner.

Love Simon is a beautiful love story about a high school boy who is struggling with his truth. Simon hasn't told his friends and family that he is gay, but when he falls for an anonymous classmate online things start to unravel and he starts his journey of self discovery.

I enjoyed this film, it was funny, sweet and it broke the stereotypical views of the LGBTQ community. However, it didn't touch on the issue of coming out and not being accepted by friends and family, which are the real experiences of a lot of individuals facing these issues in the real world.

However the movie is a step in the right direction of evolving the stories LGBTQ and helping them reach the world.

How The “Black Panther” Soundtrack Came To Be Completely Produced byKendrick Lamar

Black Panther took home a Grammy last night. The Kendrick Lamar- produced album inspired by the hit Marvel movie “Black Panther” was a big hit last year over the airways and on streaming services around the time the movie hit theaters. It added to the hype of the film but Kendrick was only supposed to do one song. According to the Hollywood Reporter , the score composer Ludwig Göransson and his team traveled to the International Library of African Music in South Africa. There they worked with over 500 instruments that according to Göransson “Don’t really exist anymore” Only one song on the album scored a Grammy that was “Kings Dead” by Jay Rock, Future, and James Black.
