Jordan Peele’s “Us” took the world by storm last weekend and sparked some new fan theories regarding the tethered and the meaning behind the film. This fan theory comes from a Reddit user who made some interesting observations about one of the film’s characters Jason Wilson. reddit user /r/FanTheories said this “I believe the summer before the movie takes place, the boy (Jason) and his ‘tethered’ also switched places. At the end of the film, he has realized that his mother, at one point has also switched bodies. She gives him a look almost like ‘I also know what you know’. Then he puts on his mask as a symbol of the masks they will now wear for the rest of their lives.” This could explain why Jason couldn’t do the magic trick. He should have known how to do it. Other Reddit users pointed out that during the beach scene Jason wasn’t building sand castles, he was digging tunnels in the sand. This could link the character to the tethered subterranean home. According to reports from THR , Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie known for her role as Laura Croft in Tomb Raider (2001, Salt 2010 and Disney’s Maleficent (2014) is in talks with Marvel Studios to be cast for a role in the upcoming film “The Eternals” The Eternals is supposed to take place billions of years before anything occurs in the MCU, and the film will be directed by Chloe Zhao. The film will be based on the Jack Kirby created title about superpowered and near-immortal beings known as the Eternals and the Deviants that were created by the cosmic beings called Celestials. According to Fox News Jussie Smollett’s Charges were dropped. It was announced today by the court to not proceed with prosecution, however Jussie is expected to give a statement later this evening. Jussie plead “Not Guilty” to 16 counts of disorderly conduct that came from the incident in which he claimed that two men beat him and in the street and that the attack was a hate crime. This news came as a surprise because Jussie’s court date wasn’t scheduled until April 17th. Jussie was brought in for an emergency court session where the judge ruled the case against him would be dropped. Jussie’s attorney Tina Glandian and Patricia Brown Holmes said in a statement that “Smollett’s record has been wiped clean” Representetives from Fox including producers, and the Cook County prosecutors did not comment. Shazam is the DECU’s newest addition to the franchise. Zachary Levi plays a superhero named Shazam, however, he’s a kid who stumbles into an underground cave where he finds an ancient wizard who needs to pass his powers of the Greek Gods to him. The storyline is predictable at baseline, then the kid gets summoned by a wizard, the wizard gives him powers, but the kids are still a kid even though he looks like a full grown man. The foster child storyline was heartfelt at warm, gave the film a different pace and feeling. We get to see why the bad guy is a bad guy thanks to a generous chunk of the movie set aside for small character development. Mark Strong’s character (Dr. Thaddeus Sivana) for lack of better words wasn’t strong enough for me in his film. I felt his portrayal of Dr. Thaddeus could have been better. The movie follows a family on vacation, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Shahadi Wright Joseph, and Evan Alex. Everything seems fine until the family is visited by people who strangely resemble them. The family does everything they can to avoid being killed by these doublegangers. The story jumps back and forward through time giving us back story on Lupita’s characters (Adelaide Wilson and Red). Who when she was just a little girl was traumatized when she saw a girl who looked exactly like her. The theme of the film was easy to follow, although it was a bit confusing at first, this is because when watching the film, you may try to over analyze things you notice while at the same time miss what’s right in front of you. Today Google Just announced a new gaming service, that will utilize the power of the internet to allow players to directly play any game seamlessly. Stadia currently stream video at 1080p at 60 frames per second, however later this year when Stadia officially launches it should be capable of 4K video at 60 frames per second. The news came from a press event during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. This new service is called Stadia. Google did not announce how much the service will cost, however, the system will work with existing streaming equipment. Such as your PC, Phone, Tablet and TV using the Chrome Cast system. The games are powered by Google’s high-performance computers, which then streams the images to the web browser in a similar way Netflix streams videos. Author Josh Malerman spoke to Esquire to offer some details about the upcoming book titled “Malorie”. “In the time between  Bird Box  coming out and the time since I’ve been writing  Malorie , I’ve been asked a ton of times: people want to know what happened with Boy and Girl. Looks like second chances are possible. James Gunn, the writer of the soon to be shot movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 has reportedly been rehired. According to Deadline the director of the previous two Marvel films, and also executive produced Avengers Infinity War has been rehired by Disney. James was fired last summer over old tweets that a journalist used to try and destroy Gunn because of his political views on our current president. The tweets were already discussed when he was put on blast years ago, still Disney hired Gunn to work on movies for them. The second theatrical trailer for Avengers Endgame surprised us this morning, and while the internet and twitter were buzzing some people noticed something wrong with the Avengers Endgame theatrical poster. While it seems like everyone who wasn’t dusted is accounted for, including the General of the Dora Milaje Okoye. Danai Gurira’s name is missing from the credits in the poster. Many people took to Twitter to express their anger, including BET. The massively epic movie is allegedly 3 hours long, with so much to cover, several story arcs will come to an end. Okoye’s part in the film may be small, which is probably why she’s not mentioned in the credits. It seems that the server that runs Facebook and its associated applications like Instagram are having data issues. According to THR, Facebook is aware of the outages and are working to restore them. According to downdector.com (a website that monitors websites), the outages started around 12 pm on Wednesday all across the U.S. parts of Europe and other areas. Both the Facebook app and the website were not working. Some users saw a message that said “Facebook was down for required maintenance” Some services have been restored for some users however others are still reporting problems. As of 9:30 pm on the east coast, users are still reporting that Instagram is not loading. According to CBS news over 50 people were indicted on Tuesday in a widespread admission bribery scandal including Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman. Other persons who also allegedly bribed admissions consultant are CEO’s of private and public companies, investors, a fashion designer, and a chairman of a global law firm. The conspiracy case includes the parents of applicants, ACT and SAT administrators, a test proctor, and coaches at universities including Yale, Stanford, Georgetown, USC UCLA and the University of Texas at Austin. The prosecutors of the scandal said that the parents paid the college test prep organization to help students cheat by having stand-ins take the test for the teenagers, or by arranging to have the proctors correct the answers. The Disney/Fox merger is almost complete. According to a media release by Disney on Tuesday morning, the merger should be complete by March 20th. The deadline for Fox shareholders to elect the form of consideration they like to receive is at 5 pm ET. After everything is done the transaction will be complete by Wednesday, March 20th. This monumental deal will bring great changes to the entertainment industry. For Marvel Studios, in particular, Kevin Feige will get the green light to start working on integrating the X-Men and the Fantastic 4 into the MCU. According to a post by Ed Gunts (Baltimore Fishbowl) the owner of Grand Central across the street is also closing its doors. The new owners will be converting the space into a retail and office building. The previous owner Don Davis decided to retire, and move out of state. The actor knew from Beverly Hills, 90210 and Fred Andrews on the hit CW series Riverdale has passed away this morning after suffering a major stroke last Wednesday and was hospitalized. He was only 52 years old. Molly Ringwald who played his ex-wife on Riverdale said on Twitter “My heart is broken, I will miss you so much, Luke Perry. Back in December of 2018, a Baltimore woman was stabbed by a panhandler when Smith gave them money. Smith was stabbed to death on December 1st in the John Square in East Baltimore. The husband, Keith Smith called 911 and later told police that he and his wife, along with his daughter, Valeria Smith, were driving when they saw a woman standing on the side of the road carrying what looked like a baby wrapped in a blanket. Keith told police that they pulled over and his wife handed the woman $10 dollars. Keith said that he noticed a man standing next to the woman, however, it never crossed his mind that he and his wife were being set up. He said in an interview after the killing. After a lengthy investigation, Baltimore Police allege it was Keith Smith along with his daughter, who was responsible for Jacquelyn Smith’s murder. Ever since Mass Effect, BioWare has proven to its followers that they will continue to produce some of the best games. The Mass Effect trilogy was amazing, both gameplay and story. Then there was Andromeda, and although it was a move in the right direction, it seemed to fall for numerous reasons. So now we have “Anthem” a completely new adventure from BioWare. The game itself looked amazing when we saw it at E3 years ago. Now that we have it, it’s not living up to the expectations. My first disappointments came from the inability to fully customize your character. The character customization in the Mass Effect was very detailed, but for some reason, BioWare decided to leave out a large chunk of customization controls in Anthem. Game navigation is poor although the game sends you straight into a starter mission, once you get to the actual game you’re kind of left feeling lost.
